South of Orlando down the Orange Blossom Trail sprawls Kissimmee town, in Osceola County Florida. It is on the North West shore of Lake Tohopekaliga, known as Lake ‘Toho’ to locals and visitors alike. It has a population of about 60.894 and is The Principal City of Orlando Kissimmee, Florida. The Kissimmee shipyard used to be responsible for building many steamships. This was at the same time as South Florida Railroad was extended from Sanford to Lake ’Toho’. However Kissimmee lost some kisses when it lost its steamboat business when it was diverted to Lake Okeechobee. So Kissimmee reverted to being dependent on cattle farming once again.

Kissimmee is well known for its sports facilities and events at the Osceola County Stadium.
