The Everglades National Park, the Big Cypress Swamp, and numerous other wetland reserves, wildlife refuges and habitats are all close by Florida’s Gulf Coast. Then there are the miles of beautiful beaches, washed by the warm Gulf waters and covered in a fascinating array of seashells. Busch Gardens is closer than Walt Disney World, but even the latter attraction is only 75 to 90 minutes away!
Other than the Gulf Coast's white sand beaches, there’s Clearwater Beach Marina, dolphin encounters, dinner cruises, the Florida Aquarium at Tampa, golf courses, and the International Plaza Mall. You can bask on the Gulf Coast in style and STILL make it to Walt Disney World! It's only just over an hour's drive and that's NOTHING in Florida!
