There’s a terrific variety of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes here and good nightlife particularly at weekends. There are two outlet malls for cheap shopping, a variety of water sports and boats, or jet skis for hire too. Siesta Key and Anna-Maria Island are great for families, while Longboat Key is more suitable for adult groups. There’s plenty to do, but you have to go out and find it. The closest theme park is Busch Gardens a little over an hour’s drive away. Homes close to the beach will be older than those in Orlando. The Ringling Museum and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall are handy should you want to take in some local culture. The homes have either three, four, five or six bedrooms or at least two full bathrooms, one en suite to the master bedroom. Each home is fully equipped and features a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, all glassware, crockery, all linens and towels. You can obtain extra towels and linen, if required, upon arrival for an extra charge. The homes are either one or two storey and you can request which you would prefer at the time of reservation. Each has a minimum of one lounge and living area with the larger homes having two lounge areas. Within the lounge is a colour cable TV, with a DVD or video player and there’s one other TV in the master bedroom, just in case. The master bedroom normally has a queen size bed and the other bedrooms either have double or twin beds. The outside area has patio furniture for you to relax on and of course the swimming pool. These can be heated (not June - Sept) which must be requested at the time of reservation!
