Where will you eat round here though? Try ‘Fat Tuesdays’ or ‘Squiggies Diner’ at Fort Myers beach. Boats can be hired quite reasonably. Want some history? (yes, there is SOME history in America) there’s the Henry Ford and Thomas Edison winter homes - now museums. Shell collectors will think all their Christmases have come at once on the beautiful beaches of nearby Sanibel Island.
The homes have either three, four, five or six bedrooms or at least two full bathrooms, one en suite to the master bedroom. Each home is fully equipped and features a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, all glassware, crockery, all linens and towels. You can obtain extra towels and linen, if required, upon arrival for an extra charge. The homes are either one or two storey and you can request which you would prefer at the time of reservation.
Each has a minimum of one lounge and living area with the larger homes having two lounge areas. Within the lounge is a colour cable TV, with a DVD or video player and there’s one other TV in the master bedroom, just in case. The master bedroom normally has a queen size bed and the other bedrooms either have double or twin beds.
The outside area has patio furniture for you to relax on and of course the swimming pool. These can be heated (not June - Sept) which must be requested at the time of reservation!

Want to be on the waterfront? Some of the best luxury homes on the Gulf Coast are here at Cape Coral, and you can hire a boat and tie it up at your own dock! Florida Cape Coral is very pretty and quiet, ideal for a relaxing holiday. There is an intimate local beach with a casual café overlooking the water for snacks and drinks. Fort Myers with its Gulf beaches is a lively place with plenty of bars and restaurants and is only about 10-15 minutes drive from Cape Coral.
